Ask Templi
Ask Templi is how you start a chat with Templi anywhere in the app. It replaces the old bottom agent taskbar: an Ask Templi button now sits in the application top bar and in document and form editor action bars, and clicking it opens one resizable chat panel on the right side of the screen.
Open the side panel
Click Ask Templi in the application top bar or in a document or form editor action bar. The chat opens in a panel on the right side of the screen and stays a side panel — it never expands into a full-page view.
Toggle the panel with Cmd+J on macOS or Ctrl+J on other platforms.
Resize it by dragging the panel's left edge. It can be between 320px and 720px wide, and Templi remembers your last width.
The chat composer no longer shows a tools button or connected-app badges. Connected apps now appear in the application top bar instead.
Start and reopen chats
The panel provides New chat, Chat history, Chat options, Close chat, and Open in full page (available for applicable chats).
Click New chat to start a fresh draft.
Click Chat history to see your past conversations and reopen one.
Click Chat options once a chat exists to manage the current conversation.
Click Close chat to close the panel.
A blank submission is ignored. If starting a chat fails, the message "Failed to start chat. Please try again." appears.
Open a chat in full page
Open in full page closes the panel and opens the conversation on its own page at /chats/:id.
Start from Home
Home is at / and is the new-chat landing surface. It has a large composer with the Ask anything placeholder and a Recent chat entry for your newest conversation (shown as Untitled chat when it has no title). Sending a message opens the conversation at /chats/:id. For what you can add to your Home and client dashboards, see the Dashboards article.
Contextual chats in document and form editors
A chat started from a document, client, form, template, file, plan, or other supported resource can use that screen as context. A chat working on the current document or form closes when you navigate away from that document or form.
In a document or form editor, the former Ask Agent entry point is now Ask Templi. When the document or form has an active generation or fill run, the editor's local action button is labelled Generate instead and opens or closes that run's chat. Run labels include Suitability agent, Generation agent, and Forms agent. During a run, the panel hides Chat history, New chat, and Chat options.
You can also ask Templi to add template blocks such as Prompts and AI tables from a chat.
