Tasks
Tasks is a shared board for the work your firm needs to do, for a client or for the firm itself. Move each task from To Do to In Progress to Done, assign it to a colleague, or hand it to Templi to work on.
Where to find it
Click Tasks in the sidebar, at https://app.templi.ai/tasks. Everyone in your firm sees the same board.
Read the board
The board has three columns, To Do, In Progress and Done, each with a count. A card shows the task's title, the client it is for, the start of its description, who it is assigned to and how many comments it has. A sparkle on a card means Templi is working on it.
Use the buttons above the board to narrow it down:
All shows every task.
Client Tasks shows tasks linked to a client.
Firm Tasks shows tasks with no client.
AI Working shows tasks Templi is working on that are not done yet, with a count.
The board updates on its own every few seconds, so you see colleagues' changes without refreshing.
Create a task
Click New task at the top right. On an empty board, click Create your first task.
Enter a Title. This is the only required field.
Add a Description with the detail someone needs to pick it up.
Choose an Assignee, or leave it as Unassigned for anyone to pick up.
Click Save.
New tasks start in To Do. To link a task to a client or a meeting, ask Templi to create it for you (see below).
Update, complete or delete a task
Drag a card to another column to change its status. Drag it to Done to complete it.
Click a card to edit its Title, Description, Status or Assignee, then click Save.
In the same window, type in Add a comment... and send it to leave a note for the team. Press Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter to send.
To remove a task, open it, click Delete and confirm. It disappears from the board.
Hand a task to Templi
Open a task and click Assign to Templi. Templi moves it to In Progress, starts working on it in a chat named after the task, and the task shows Templi is working on this task. Templi's updates appear as comments from Templi. This works best for tasks Templi can do itself, such as drafting a letter or checking a client's plans.
Ask Templi to create or update tasks
Open Ask Templi and type, for example:
Create a task for me to chase Aviva for Sarah Winters' SIPP transfer value, linked to Sarah.
Turn the actions from Sarah's annual review meeting into tasks.
What tasks are still open for Sarah Winters?
Mark the ISA top-up task for Sarah as done.
Templi is the only way to link a task to a client or a meeting. Templi does not create tasks unless you ask, so meeting actions stay in the meeting notes until you do.
Tasks live in Templi only. They are not sent to your CRM, and tasks in your CRM do not appear on this board.
