Skills
A skill is a set of written steps Templi follows when you call it in a chat, so a task your firm does often, such as preparing for an annual review, runs the same way every time. Each skill gets a short command, for example /annual-review-prep, that you type in any chat. Skills used to be called recipes.

Use a skill in a chat
Skills run in any Templi chat, on Desk, in a client hub or in an open chat.
Click into the message box. Your firm's skills appear as suggestions above it.
Click a suggestion, or type / followed by part of the name to filter the list, then pick one.
Add anything the skill needs, such as the client's name, and send.
To see every skill, open All skills from the suggestions. It has a search box and a Create skill link.
Create a skill
Write the steps the way you would brief a colleague. Templi follows them in order.
Go to Customise > Skills and click New.
Enter a Skill name. The command beside it updates as you type, for example Annual review prep becomes
/annual-review-prep.Add a Description: one line on when to use it.
Write the steps in the large box. Or click Write it with Templi, describe what the skill should do, and Templi drafts the steps in a chat.
Click Save.
Change, test or remove a skill
Click a skill in the list to open it.
Edit the name, description or steps, then click Save. Save appears once you have changed something.
Click Try it to run the skill in a new chat.
Click Ask about this skill, or press Cmd+J (Mac) or Ctrl+J (Windows), to ask Templi to improve the steps.
From the ... menu, choose Duplicate or Delete.
Skills from Templi
Some skills come from Templi and are read only. To change one for your firm, open it, choose Duplicate from the ... menu and edit your copy. Templi skills cannot be deleted.
Ask Templi
You can build a skill from a chat, for example:
"Make a skill called Annual review prep. It should pull the client's latest valuations, check their pension contributions against the annual allowance, list any protection gaps and draft an agenda."
"Change my pension transfer skill so it always asks for the ceding scheme's transfer value first."
