Client groups
A group puts clients who belong together in one place, such as a couple, a family or a business and the people behind it. Open a group to see its members and every document and file held for any of them. Separately, each client's hub lists their household, the clients they are linked to.
Where to find it
Sidebar: Library, then the Groups tab.
All groups:
https://app.templi.ai/groupsOne group:
https://app.templi.ai/groups/<group>, which opens on its Members tab.
Create a group
On the Groups tab, click New. With no groups yet, click Create your first group.
Enter a Group name, for example The Winters Family.
Click Add clients and pick the members.
Click Create group.
A new group's type is Family. To change it, open the group and use Rename or edit, described below.
Inside a group
The group page shows the group's name, type and number of members, with three tabs.
Tab | What it holds | URL |
|---|---|---|
Members | The clients in the group, with their email and adviser |
|
Documents | Documents Templi has written for any member |
|
Files | Files held for any member |
|
Click a member to open their client hub.
Change a group
To add someone, click Add client on the Members tab.
To take someone out, click the three-dot menu on their row and choose Remove from group. The client stays in Templi.
To rename the group or change its type, click the three-dot menu at the top of the group page and choose Rename or edit. The Group type is Family, Joint, Business, Trust or Charity.
Delete a group
Deleting a group keeps all its clients. Any sub-groups inside it are deleted too.
Click the three-dot menu on the group page, or on the group's row in the list, and choose Delete.
Confirm in the dialog.
Households and linked clients
A client's household is the set of clients they are linked to one by one, such as a spouse, parent or business partner. It shows in the Household section of the About panel on their client hub, and in the client's row on the Clients list. Click a name to open that client's hub.
A household link and a group are separate. Adding clients to a group does not link them as a household.
To link two clients, ask Templi. It can record a spouse, partner, parent, sibling, dependant, shareholder, director, trustee or beneficiary, or a relationship you describe in your own words.
Ask Templi
Templi can create groups, add members and link clients for you. For example:
Link Sarah Winters and James Winters as spouses, and put them both in a group called The Winters Family.
Which members of The Winters Family have a pension we haven't valued this year?
