Allow microphone access for app.templi.ai in your browser's site settings, and check no other app is using the microphone. Then click Record again.
Meetings
Record a client meeting, or add its transcript, and Templi writes the meeting notes from your notes template. You can record in your browser, send Templi's notetaker to a video call, record with the Templi Adviser desktop app, or upload or paste a transcript from another tool.
Where to find it
All meetings: click Meetings in the sidebar, at
https://app.templi.ai/meetings.One meeting:
https://app.templi.ai/meetings/<meeting>/notes. Its other tabs are at/transcriptand/recording.One client's meetings: open the client and click the Meetings tab in their client hub, at
https://app.templi.ai/clients/<client>/meetings.
While a meeting is recording, the Meetings item in the sidebar shows the recording with a timer and takes you straight back to it.
Before you start
Connect your calendar so your client meetings appear on the Meetings page and Templi's notetaker can join them. Until you do, the page shows Connect calendar. See Calendar settings.
To record in your browser, allow it to use your microphone when it asks.
Templi writes notes with your firm's default notes template unless you pick another. Set the default in Meeting note templates.
Find a meeting
The Meetings page lists your upcoming and past meetings, with the next one in an Up next card at the top. Use Search meetings at the top right, or the All, Upcoming, Past and Needs you buttons. Needs you shows meetings waiting for you to act, such as a client to confirm, and those rows have a Review button.
Each row shows where the meeting is up to, for example Templi joins, Recording, Writing notes, Notes ready or No recording. Open a row's ... menu to prepare a brief for an upcoming meeting, mark the meeting as the client's annual review, or move it to trash.
Record a meeting in your browser
Use this for a meeting in the room with you. Browser recording uses your computer's microphone only.
On the Meetings page, click Record. Templi creates a meeting and starts recording. To record a meeting that is already listed, open it and click Record here.
Use Pause and Resume as you need. Keep the page open while you record.
Click Stop, then End recording. You cannot add to a recording once it has ended.
Templi uploads the audio and the meeting moves through Transcribing and Writing notes to Notes ready. The transcript appears when you stop, because browser recording has no live transcript. To throw the recording away instead, click Discard recording.
You can only record one meeting at a time. Click New meeting to create a meeting without recording it, for example to add a transcript later.
Send Templi's notetaker to a video call
Templi Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls and records them, so the notes are ready when the call ends.
To have it join every video call on your connected calendar, turn on Join my calendar meetings automatically in Calendar settings.
To send it to one call, open the meeting, paste the call link into Paste your meeting link and click Invite Templi.
Click Stop on the meeting to make the notetaker leave the call.
Record with the desktop app
The Templi Adviser desktop app records meetings on your computer and shows the transcript on the meeting's Live transcript tab as people speak. Download it from Desktop app in your account menu, at https://app.templi.ai/desktop/download.
Add a transcript from another tool
Templi writes notes from a transcript just as it does from a recording.
Drag a transcript file onto the Meetings page. Templi creates a meeting named after the file.
On the Meetings page, open More and choose Upload transcript.
On a meeting's page, click Upload or Paste transcript, or choose them from the meeting's More menu.
Templi accepts TXT, PDF, DOCX, DOC, VTT and SRT files. After an upload, choose a notes template from Write notes to have Templi write the notes.
Notes, transcript and recording
A meeting's page has a Notes tab, a Transcript tab, and a Recording tab when there is audio.
Notes: edit the notes in place. Your changes save as you type. To write notes with a different template, open More and choose it under Notes template.
Transcript: use Search the transcript to find what was said, and Download to save it as a text file.
Recording: Play recording, or Download audio as an MP3.
The meeting's More menu also has Regenerate notes and Download notes (.docx).
Regenerate notes and choosing another notes template both rewrite the notes from the transcript. Any edits you made to the notes are lost.
Link the meeting to your clients
Templi reads the transcript and suggests which clients took part in a bar at the top of the meeting. Use Link existing to attach a client already in Templi, Add new to create one, or Confirm all to accept every suggestion. When the meeting changes what you know about a client, Templi offers the fact find for you to Review, and the update goes to Templi and your CRM.
Write notes stays unavailable until every speaker in the transcript is identified.
After the meeting
Click Draft follow-up email and Templi drafts the email to your client in a chat.
Choose Mark as annual review from More so the client's annual review date counts this meeting.
Choose Move to trash from More to remove a meeting. Click Undo on the message straight away if you change your mind.
See a client's meetings
The Meetings tab in a client's hub lists their upcoming and past meetings, and an annual review card shows whether their review is booked, up to date, due or overdue. From the card you can Draft invite for the next review or Open notes from the last one.
Ask Templi about a meeting
On a meeting's page, click Ask about this meeting and type a question, for example:
What did Sarah Winters say about when she wants to retire?
List the actions we agreed on her SIPP and ISA.
Write the notes again with the Annual Review template.
Templi asks you to approve before it rewrites the notes.
If something goes wrong
Templi says it cannot use my microphone
The recording couldn't be uploaded
Keep the page open and click Retry on the message. Discard throws the recording away.
Meeting notes generation failed
Choose Regenerate notes from the meeting's More menu, or pick a template from Write notes again.
