Pension policy summary
A pension policy summary pulls the key facts from a provider statement into one consistent layout: value, charges, contributions, funds and guarantees. It describes the policy rather than a person, so Templi can fill it from the statement alone, before the client is even set up in Templi.
Build the form
Start a new chat from Home or Ask Templi and send:
Build a form called "Pension policy summary". Add a Plan details section with the provider, plan type (personal pension, SIPP, workplace pension or stakeholder pension), plan number, planholder, selected retirement age, current value, transfer value, regular monthly contributions, and the adviser and plan charges as a percentage a year. Add a table of funds with the fund name, ISIN, value and share of the plan. Add a Guarantees and benefits section with yes or no questions for a guaranteed annuity rate and protected tax-free cash, and questions for exit charges and nominated beneficiaries.
When it is built, open the form with Edit, click Settings, turn off Require clients and click Save changes.
Fill it from a statement
On the Forms page, click Fill next to Pension policy summary.
Leave Clients empty.
Drop the provider statement into Files and sources.
If you want, add instructions, for example Summarise this plan for the pension switch review. Leave anything the statement does not show blank.
Click Fill.
Templi reads the statement and answers each question, listing the statement as the source. Fill the form once per statement when you are comparing several plans for a switch or consolidation. Each copy is kept on the Answered tab.
Check it before you rely on it
Compare the transfer value with the plan value. A gap usually means an exit charge or a market value reduction.
Check the guarantee questions against the statement yourself. A guaranteed annuity rate or protected tax-free cash can be lost on transfer, so a blank answer there needs chasing with the provider.
