Attitude to risk questionnaire
An attitude to risk questionnaire records how a client feels about investment risk and how much of a loss they could live with, so the recommendation in your suitability report has a clear basis on file. Ask Templi to build one in a single message, then let Templi fill it for each client. If you already have a paper version, build the form from the PDF instead.
What to ask
Start a new chat from Home or Ask Templi and send:
Build a form called "Attitude to risk". Split it into three sections: Your investment, How you feel about risk, and Capacity for loss. Ask what the investment is for, how long it will stay invested, and how the client would feel if it fell by 20% in a year. Use single choice answers from Strongly agree to Strongly disagree for the risk statements. Finish with a long text question for anything else we should know.
Templi builds the form in a tab beside the chat and saves it on the Forms page.
Fill it for a client
On the Forms page, click Fill next to Attitude to risk, choose the client and attach the questionnaire they completed or your notes from the risk discussion. Click Fill and Templi answers each question from them, so you only check the answers. See Fill a form.
Check it before you use it
Open the form and click Preview to read it the way a client would.
Keep the same answer scale on every risk statement, so answers are easy to compare from one review to the next.
Make sure the capacity for loss questions ask about the effect on the client's standard of living, not only how they feel about a fall.
Useful follow-ups
Send these in the same chat to adjust the form:
Add a yes or no question asking whether the client has an emergency fund covering three months of spending.
Add a question about how much of their total savings this investment represents.
Change the time horizon question to five choices, from less than three years to more than fifteen.
