Set header and footer distance
Set how far the header sits from the top of the page and the footer from the bottom in the editor's Design panel, under Headers > Distance to page edge. The values are saved with the document or template, so they apply every time it is opened or generated.
Set the distance
The distance controls are available in normal documents and editable draft templates. They are not shown for published templates.
In the editor toolbar, click Design to open the Design side panel.
Open the Headers tab.
Under Distance to page edge, enter a value in Header distance from top and Footer distance from bottom.
Press Enter or click away from the field to apply the value.
Units and validation
Both fields take centimetres (cm). A value is accepted only when it is a finite number of 0 or more. There is no upper limit. If you enter a negative number or a value that is not a number, the field keeps its previous value instead of applying the change.
Where the setting applies
The distance is stored as part of the page-settings layout of the document or template, so it saves with the file and is used whenever the document is opened or a report is generated from the template. It controls header and footer placement only.
